Teaching Experience
Current Position Instructor of Fine Art, Spokane Falls Community College, September 2002-Present. Tenured 2005.
Courses taught: Ancient-Medieval Art History, Renaissance Art History, Modern Art History, Art Appreciation (in the classroom and on-line,) all drawing courses, Figure Drawing, Acrylic Painting, Oil Painting, Portfolio, and Color and Design. I also have a number of other departmental duties.
Membership in the following college committees: Curriculum Committee, ITALIC (Institutional Teaching and Learning Improvement Coordinating Committee), several position screening committees, and tenure review committees.
Teaching Abroad Instructor of Art, Washington Community College Consortium for Study Abroad through SFCC in Florence, Italy. March-June 2005. Taught Fundamentals of Drawing and Introduction to Art. I took field trips and trips with students to: Siena, San Gimignano, Rome, Venice, Milan, Assisi, and, of course, all of the museums of Florence.
Instructor of Art, Spokane Falls Community College study abroad program in Lyon, France, June-July 2012. Taught an on-line Art Appreciation course and lead student field trips to various locations in France.
